Jean Todt elected FIA president.

After a quite often acrimonious campaign, Jean Todt has won the race for FIA president and FOTA have welcomed him to the role.

I can't help but think that they are just happy that Max is gone and would have been just as happy with Ari Vatenan, had he won.

It remains to be seen though whether Jean does usher in a new era of compromise and change and get all the "F1 stakeholders" to unite under his leadership, or whether it'll just be business as usual.

I'd just be happy if he just keeps the refuelling ban and slicks!
